Today is Tex's first birthday. What a fine little dog he has turned out to be!
As it is All Saints Day, I also honour with many tears my beloved lurcher Rufus, light of my life, who died last December, lovingly missed each and every day.
No wonder I liked Rufus so much in The Moon Garden, if he was named after a lurcher, (blue in colour perhaps?). I lost my lurcher in tragic circumstances and still think of him every day. I loved the book, which I bought completely on a whim as it was the only english language book I could find in the local bookshop when I visited my brother at his house in Brittany. Will now look out for Five of Cups to read too.
He has changed a lot since the day I met him, already 8 months ago, but he is still a nice little fellow. Happy many returns!
